My personal blog about me, anyone, or anything happening at anytime from anywhere...
I've always wanted to take pics of Cherry Blossoms in Vancouver, never got a chance really, I have always missed it some how, they just don't stick around waiting for me.
Although I didn't get to go to any real Olympic event, I did participated and enjoyed some of the Olympic festivities around town. We didn't finish first as I expected, I never thought we would, but we did get a lot of Gold and finished first in that category. 14 Golds, that's 4 more than 2nd place Germany at 10.
Chris Rudge, the chief executive of the Canadian Olympic Committee, conceded Monday morning that Canadian athletes will not meet the COC's goal of finishing first in the medal standings at the Winter Olympic Games. The last part about not anticipating strong showing by other countries sounds ignorant and some what arrogant but funny at the same time, what the heck was he smoking when he predicated that we would finish first? Hah...
"We are going to be short of our goal. I readily admit that," Mr. Rudge said.
He added that COC officials did not anticipate the strong showing by other countries such the United States, China and South Korea.
So you have heard, The Winter Olympic Games are in town. It's been C-R-A-Z-Y around the city. And not to mention NBA All Stars, Chinese New Year, and Valentine's day all happening on the same weekend...!!! I'll be uploading the pics taken during the games in one album instead. I am lazy this month.
It's been awhile since we had brunch and took my camera out for a walk, almost felt guilty not using it... :D It was fun...
It was too windy, the wind blew my lighting umbrella to the ground and bended two shafts, so I threw it away. Luckily the flash did not break, or it'll turn out to be a $400 photoshoot. Phew...
I have been quite busy with work, even staying up till 4:30 last night, felt shitty and knees felt weak as if they are about to break, Susan didn't like it, anyway, finally got some time to process some pics, so here they are. :D Oh ya, Olympics!!!
This year, I realized I have never really had a Christmas with a 'real' girlfriend (by that I meant, most of you may already know that my previous relationships all ended in long distance, for some weird strange reason, so we never got to spend time together during the Holidays) until this year. It was hectic, lots of dinners with families and friends, especially my sister was also visiting from Singapore, but it felt nice, warm, with lots of love. :D
Alex Ovechkin was in town, he didn't do much, he played like crap, but it was fun watching him skate still. Other than the rowdy fans beside us, and the boring stretches throughout parts of 2nd and 3rd period, it was pretty exciting game to watch.
Finally found some time to help my sis with her lookbook photos. I was kind of rushing her as I was side tracked with something else, so I didn't spend as much time setting up the environment. So what ended up happening was that I had to photoshop all the nasty stuff in the background. There were power outlets, nails, wires, on/off switches, heater control, and stains from picture frames, etc... But it turned out okay... right? Sigh, a nice studio would've helped. Anyway, help her win the American Apparel contest if you are bored, hype her outfit here, thanks.
It was a hectic weekend, started off with the Ensemble Xmas party, two birthday dinners, two birthday parties, one get together and lastly, a dimsum lunch. Lots of freakn food and not to mention all the alcohol consumed...!!! After all that, I am still 152 lbs, not bad... I wonder where all that fat went... probably cuz its too cold, burned them all away during the night... Anyway, no album this time, just a collage of photos taken with my compact camera. Oh ya it's snowing...

Pretty cool slow motion video from 9five, showing off their eyewear collection this year.
It's about time that I take pics again. The weather's been so crappy that I haven't been using my camera to its full potential. It's been sunny for the past few days now, I finally took it out for walk... :D
I have been wanting to take pics with my flashes outdoor, but never had a chance to do so, until today, since my sis needed new photos for her fashion blog at www.andbythewei.com. It was cold but it turned out pretty well. Those optical slaves didn't work at all for the 2nd and 3rd flashes I wanted to use, prob cuz it was still too bright outside, so I ended up using only 1 flash with the umbrella.
